Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) is a corner stone of the MPEG-4 Standard. MPEG-4 Audio is significantly more efficient than other Audio codecs such as MP3 while at the same time achieving a quality level similar to Audio CDs.

Interoperability
The 3ivx MPEG-4 5.0 Audio Decoder is compliant with ISO 14496-2:2003 and has been compatibility tested with various MPEG-4 implementations including Apple MPEG-4 (LC AAC), Philips MPEG-4 (LC AAC), FAAC, PsyTel AAC, Nero AAC with SBR (also known as HE AAC) as well as 3ivx MPEG-4 AAC. |
